CNET reports Google and Verizon SuperPages are teaming up. The new deal will see Verizon SuperPages sell ads on the Google AdWords platform.
I’m a guy that likes to “cut to the chase”, if ever we meet and you have an agenda, feel free to hit me with it. That’s the reason I’m liking the idea of SpeedPitches, a new service that matches busy business owners with local vendors.
I’ve seen this type of thing work well – recently at a Frost & Sullivan event in Phoenix – and often helps both sides quickly determine if there’s a connection worth pursuing.
The first SpeedPitches event takes place May 18th in London and focuses on SEO/SEM.

Did a web site get teleported from Neptune and appear in a web server?…Even Search Engine Optimizer is an overstated phrase. You arenâ€™t optimizing the search engine, youâ€™re optimizing a web site in order to rank better on a search engine.

The Washinton Post reports that one of its blogger recently resigned amid allegations that he previously plagiarized content.
Jim Brady, executive editor of Washingtonpost.com, which operates independently from the newspaper, said he would have dismissed Domenech if the former Bush administration aide and Republican Senate staffer had not offered to quit first. He said there was “enough smoke” in the allegations of plagiarism “that we needed to sever the relationship.”
Not good in light of all the current efforts to ensure bloggers give credit to story sources.
According to Reuters, Sprint has joined forces with InfoSpace to offer a $2.99 a month service that combines positioning awareness technology with local search. The new service is called “Find It”.
At last, no more having to enter an address or zip code before finding the best pizza in town.
WebSideStory data suggests Google powers three quarters of all search referrals in the UK.
The search giant referred an average of 74.67 per cent of all UK visitors to other sites on the web in February, compared to just 9.3 per cent for its nearest competitor, Yahoo, according to the WebSideStory Index.
