@Jane - yikes! I wouldn't give them my SSN. Are they really insisting on that?

I guess they ask for it because of the payments they make to you. It's your call on how badly you want to work with them, but I would review their TOS to see what they do with it.

What does payperpost do with social security numbers? Has there been any problem with identity theft because payperpost requires them?

I think its a great niche market and this comment may or may not have been paid for by payperpost.com.

No seriously, I do think it's an interesting niche market and if people are upfront that they got paid to write a post, their credibility would be worth more.

Higher credibility value could lead to higher payperpost profit.

I see it as another way for automated blog sites to earn money. Now when they scrape others ideas and articles, they get adsense dollars. Now, they can also receive money for publishing. This seems like a very bad idea indeed.

As long as a blogger is clear about any posts that are "sponsored", I don't think we'll see too many problems.

Unfortunately, those that are up-front about getting paid, will find that the post in question will be consider no more valuable than an ad.

They have to be kidding - 5 bucks per post? With that kind of money - who are they going to get?

Besides, I don't like being told how I have to write - but they don't have to worry - If I did want to write a review of something that I was comfortable with - they'd have to pay me 10 times more money then they're willing to pay now.
