We’ve received a lot of positive feedback for our recent upgrades to SEMLogic and many of you have viewed the video demo. We wanted to let you know that starting next week, we’re going to lift the lid on what it takes to get a web site on the first page of Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Each week for the next 3 weeks, we’ll pick an extremely competitive keyword and then reveal SEMLogic’s findings on what each search engine is looking for, in order to be ranked for that keyword.

Is backlink quality more important on Google than Yahoo? Does MSN look more at the title tag than Google and Yahoo? What weight do each of the search engines give to on-page factors?

SEMLogic has already confirmed the search engines’ are looking for different factors depending on the industry keyphrase. On that basis, we going to explore three different verticals over the coming weeks. Here’s what we have planned for next week:

Week of July 17: Consumer electronics industry – keyphrase = “laptop”

Look for the press release and summaries on Marketing Pilgrim. If you’ve any connection to the SEO industry, you’ll want to catch what we’re going to reveal, it will knock your socks-off!
