Jeremy Luebke emailed me to ask if I would care to share the plugins used on MP. The site was fully custom built, so there may be some modified things, but here’s the list…
Akismet - Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web serivce to see if they look like spam or not.
Gravatars - for those cool photos next to comments.
intouch - for the contact form.
No Self Pings - prevents WordPress from sending pings for stuff I link to from my own site.
Social Bookmark Links - the drop down menu for bookmarking a post.
Subscribe To Comments - lets readers get email updates on comments.
Google Sitemaps - to help Google find all the new pages.
WordPress Reports - adds my Google Analytics and Feedburner stats to the WordPress dash.
Text Link Ads v2 - allows me to add sponsored messages to the bottom of my posts.
Ultimate Tag Warrior - for tagging posts that are outside a category.
WordPress Email Notification Plugin v2.3.1 - lets readers get new posts via email instead of RSS.
Sidebar Widgets - added by the developer so even I can update my sidebars.
wp-cache - not used this yet, but if I get slashdotted, this will help stop the site from slowing down by caching pages.
Strangely, the Hello Dolly plugin didn’t make it to my list.
So, who wants to share their favorite WordPress plugin? I’ll give a shout-out (and link) to anyone who recommends a plugin I end up using.
UPDATE: I’ve since added the Related Posts plugin and the Math Comment Spam plugin to the list.
