How would you like to win a shiny new iPod, just for subscribing to Marketing Pilgrim’s RSS feed?

Yep, by simply adding our RSS feed to your favorite news reader, you can take part in a new prize giveaway. You’ll be kept up-to-date with the latest marketing news AND have a chance to win a new Apple iPod.

Why are we giving away an iPod just for subscribing? Well, to be honest, some of you are still trying to use the old Blogger RSS feed, while others still simply try and just “check in when I can”. We want to ensure that everyone is kept up to date with the very latest marketing news, so we thought we’d add an extra incentive.

Here’s how to enter.

  1. Simply ensure you are subscribed to Marketing Pilgrim’s RSS feed.
  2. Keep an eye on the sponsored ads that display in our RSS feed. Here’s an example: ”Pilgrim Partners: Handy Recovery Recover files & partitions accidentally deleted on Windows XP/2000″.
  3. Sometime before December 20th, we’ll switch out the message on a handful of our posts, for a secret RSS-only message.
  4. When you see the secret, RSS-only message, simply cut and paste that message in an email and send it to contest AT marketingpilgrim.com. Trust us, you won’t confuse the message with a regular ad, it will include a link and reference to this contest.
  5. Those who email the correct text to us, within 24 hours of it being posted, will be entered to win an iPod Shuffle MP3 player.
  6. The winner will be selected at random and announced on MarketingPilgrim.com.

That’s all you have to do! But, wait! There’s more.

The more people that subscribe to our RSS feed, the better the prize gets! Here’s out current feed number:

(Pretty lame and certainly doesn’t match-up with the number of people who visit here each day, so we want more of you to consider subscribing.)

If the number of RSS subscribers increases to 2500 by the time we draw the prize, we’ll upgrade the prize from this:

If, we hit 4000 total RSS subscribers, by the time we draw for the prize, we’ll upgrade the prize to this:
