Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInShare on Google+Share on FacebookBuffer this page has taken its existing maps service, combined it with content from parent-company IAC’s CitySearch and Ticketmaster, stirred the ingredients and baked at 400F for 20 minutes. The result? A great new way to search for business, events, movies and maps using a new service called AskCity.

The interface is easy to use, and the 3-panel layout means you’ll keep track of your search. The integration of IAC’s CitySearch and Ticketmaster, means you can also purchase tickets for your favorite events!

Just one question for How hard is it to coordinate the launch with your own blog announcement? This is a great launch and shows how Ask will continue to benefit from IAC, so this two-line note on your blog doesn’t cut-it. Sorry.

AskCity local search, Our latest and greatest product, hit the streets as of the wee hours this morning, and we couldn’t be happier. Look for a more detailed post about AskCity later today

  • I took some time to check out AskCity earlier today, and I must admit that I was thoroughly impressed with the new capabilities.

I even pointed out the new tool to my dad, and he managed to figure it all out himself. That really says something about the ease of use!

However, I agree with your criticism of the insufficient “memo” left as a blog post. The new innovations have the potential to be huge, and it feels as if is down-playing the revolution.
