2007 SEMPO Board Announced

The 2007 SEMPO Board of Directors has been announced and the newly-elected SEMPO Board of Directors for 2007 is:

SEMPO is becoming more corporate by the day it seems. I would have never dreamed of seeing someone from Hewlett-Packard on the board. Whether going corporate is a good or a bad thing, only time will tell.

Oddly enough I could find no mention of this info on the SEMPO site, but the full release is on Search Engine Land.

    Interesting mention about whether it’s good or bad for SEMPO to become “more corporate”. I’ll keep that in mind. Regarding someone from HP being elected for the board, I hope, since I am that person that it had nothing to do with corporate vs non-corporate objectives but rather my profile (submitted as part of the election process) and what I can offer as a board member. I manage search engine optimization for Hewlett-Packard and find great value in organizations like SEMPO. What I hope to do with my board seat is provide a global enterprise in-house search perspective. I’m excited to see that Duane Forrester, a fellow in-house search marketer, was also elected.
