Google misspells its own name?

Google Valentine LogoGoogle wishes us all happy Valentine’s day with a chocolate covered strawberry. People are saying Google spelled its name wrong: no ‘L.’ (It’s like a Christmas joke for Valentine’s day!)

And yes, it does look that way at first glance. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the long stem of the strawberry is supposed to be replacing the regular green ‘L.’

What do you think?

Hat-tip to Matt Bailey.

UPDATE: Google’s responded. (from Andy)

looks mispelled to me. I’m not seeing much as far as an L personally..

  2. Steven Bradley Says:

Kind of hard to believe whoever made the image forgot an ‘L’ I was thinking the same thing about the stem. Maybe it’s not working as well as the designer would have liked, but I do think the stem is supposed to be an ‘L’

I think it is suppose to be the L, but this is so stupid. What GEEKS!! I mean, come on, this is so lame. I love Google and all, but seriously. I think they need to get outta Mountain View every now and again, and by out of Mountain View, I don’t mean Palo Alto or San Francisco.
