We're definitely not afraid of Google but it's such a pain to have to bow down to them and have to follow their every rule.

“Google feels a lot like Microsoft in the mid-Nineties,” says Silicon Valley startup adviser Dave McClure. “Right at the height of its power, getting a little arrogant, and challenged for the first time by some powerful people.”

This IS totally true..., in no time internet will be a monopoly.

"'We’re not competing with newspapers, we’re not competing with television stations, and we’re not competing with the Viacoms of the world,' insists Google Chief Executive Eric E. Schmidt. 'We’re trying to partner with them.'"

Oh... so they're trying to take over the world WITH other companies. That's very reassuring.

I would say Google is no more of a threat to become evil as penguins in the North Pole are. I mean you have to keep in mind here that if they did do something we didn't want someone else would step up and take their place. I'd say it's doing exactly as it's customers want, where is the harm in that?

Thank You

In the early 90's I thought MSFT would rule the world. In the late 90's I thought AOL would rule the world (anyone remember the article in Time - "The Geeks Won" in reference to AOL?). Now it's Google's turn to assume that position.

Never fear...just walk towards the light....until the light changes hands.

BTW, everyone knows that there is only one thing to fear....Chuck Norris. ;)
