it’s a very good idea (at last!). But a bit dangerous. Has allways, a bad person, can bring down the “fame and fortune” of a person in a site like this one.
I hope that the authors control that very soon, not after the site grow.

Great idea... until someone writes something that is defamation of character and you have to try and get it removed.

I get the concept, but I think it is opening another door to abusive content on the Internet. May be certain risk involved.

Frankly one of the things that bothers me about LinkedIn is that there is no opportunity for "negative" feedback. Have you ever read a recommendation on LinkedIn that didn't make the person sound like they were the second coming of Bill Gates? It's a mutual admiration society that makes any recommendation relatively worthless and suspect. Imagine if EBay only allow "positive" feedback.

I think this is a great way to add some balance and legitimacy to personal recommendations. Could it be abused? Of course; but no more than recommendations on LinkedIn are abused in the opposite way. In the end, any recommendation, good or bad, must be taken with an enormous grain of salt.
