Do you ever get the feeling that you don’t know anyone who actually plays Second Life? (I play, only it’s called ‘parenting.’
) I think I know why now: 84% of Second Lifers live their first lives outside of the United States.
However, that may soon change. North America is the IRL home to the fastest-growing segment of the Second Life population.
comScore reports on the popularity of Second Life today. I went ahead and added the penetration stat myself.

hi, Jordan, how are you?
The Second Life stat that always surprises me is ‘Total Residents’ vs ‘Residents Logged In Last 60 Days’. At the moment more than 70% of their residents haven’t logged in for over 60 days (according to http://www.secondlife.com).
I hope things are going well,
daniel
