Be cool if Google will buy out Yahoo and then Google will have their own eBay killer auction site and leave Microsoft in the dust as far as search goes.

It appears that Yahoo! is trying to focus mainly on their most important products. I work at an auction site in latin america and quite frankly never heard about them till today. Don’t think it’s because I don’t do my daily internet reading!

They won’t close Japan either. (Besides which Japan is not wholly owned by Sunnyvale.)

A class of Wharton fellows looked at eBay’s failure in Japan and how Yahoo! Japan outmaneuvered them. I’ve got that and a bunch of other links on my blog from about 2 years ago.
