FTC Will Review Yahoo and Microsoft Acquisitions

Remember that can of worms we told you about? It looks like the lid’s come off, and the slippery invertebrates are everywhere! AdAge.com has reported the FTC will review Microsoft’s acquisition of aQuantive and Yahoo’s buyout of Right Media.

Both Yahoo and MSFT will tell you that this is just “normal procedure,” but I’d be shocked if both didn’t get a request to appear before the Spanish inquisition very soon.

As you guys said, this was to be expected but I really hope the FTC doesn’t become Google’s puppet as well.
