That’s an interesting tidbit about Google and Wikipedia. Currently, Google gives a lot of weight to Wikipedia in their search results. It’ll be interesting to see if they will change things around in the future. This is another step towards the direction of world domination for Google.
The thing I don’t understand is how come my college professors don’t consider wikipedia to be a relevant source of info when all Google does is show them in the top 3 results. :S
When I was in college, Wikipedia was banned from “real” research papers–but so was every other encyclopedia. Research may begin with Wikipedia (or Britannica), but if you’re studying a topic, it shouldn’t end there.

“Are Google and Wikipedia breaking up?”
I dont know but it would be nice to search Google and not see a wikip page for once.

Relevant, perhaps. Accurate, perhaps not.

Are Google and the Wikipedia really breaking up or was Google just caught having an affair?
I wouldn’t mind seeing a little less of the Wiki in search results and hopefully this will be the start.
