• Joost has 1 million beta users signed up. Great, but how many of them are active? I watched it once and haven’t been back since.
• More reason to suspect a Facebook sale or IPO, they just hired YouTube’s former CFO.
• Microsoft’s ads are coming to Electronic Arts video games. Does this mean we’ll get cheaper games in return for putting up with ads? I doubt it.
• Forget “local” the smart VC money is going to “hyperlocal” sites such as Going.com.
