I’m shocked that the article passed the editing team. It doesnt contain any factual information, shows no sign of research and it downright prejudice.

It reads like a blog post, and doesnt belong on a news site. Looking at her other stuff it’s no better, she really is a terrible journalist.

I agree with Bushido, you control who you want to accept or decline, so why even accept when its someone your not too sure about. People get “friend” happy and accept everyone. It’s not a popularity contest.

I’m kind of surprised CNet let her publish that. At 17, she may be “hyperaware of her surroundings,” but she doesn’t seem to be aware of the potential damage posting such a rant on a major website can do to her fledgling professional reputation. That article will still be out there in three years.

She sounds like what she is…an articulate, assertive 17-year-old girl trying to make a splash. The adult supervision should be giving her the guidance to do so in a more positive manner.
