Step in the right direction for both companies but I don’t know what they’ll do about the privacy issue. That’s a major issue right now.

It makes sense that both Yahoo and Google would attempt this, but I wonder if it’s truly necessary.

For example with inbox 2.0 Yahoo wants to algorithmically determine which email is more important to me. Why not just ask. I already know whose email I want to see and whose I don’t.

Email to me is still something more private than a social network.

Yahoo’s attempts to build a social network become boring, they should find a way to make a good network on the top of their userbase, before they all of them to Facebook

Would I welcome a social network into my inbox? It’s already there, only crippled for no reason.

I would love to able to publish messages and media though my email account and allow my friends to browse it without sending an “email”.
