Yes. I use the most recent stable WordPress version and the default is “off”, but it gives a clear warning that the default is “off” and an easy way to turn it on. It’s mostly how they structure the links, I think.

I’m pretty sure that when you choose to block search engines, they use the meta=”robots” element, not alter the link structure.
