Andy’s off speaking at SMX, and we’re here holding down the newsly fort.
- New protocols are making it easier to submit sitemaps according to hosts from robots.txt. I think that’s what it means, anyway.
- If you actually use iGoogle, a handy new feature puts Google Webmaster Tools on Your iGoogle Homepage.
- Yahoo admits that the Microsoft Bid Has Been a Distraction. Gee, someone dangles $45B in my face and I have no problem focusing on other things. . . .
- A teenager killed herself after being molested by a predator she met on the Internet. As terrible as this is, this just isn’t how our legal system handles it: Parents Of Deceased Teen Sue MySpace. The case is pretty weak: they didn’t even meet on MySpace. The predator introduced the teen to MySpace and helped her set up her profile.

Jordan, well done in holding down the fort. I just saw a new newsclip on msn about Microsoft’s latest proposal to Yahoo. I think something is going to go down soon on that front.

Craig, I did see a snipit yesterday about Gates coming back to the table. We’ll see what happens. I think the deal is inevitable.

If mgt at yahoo is distracted by the buyout bid then I wonder what distracted them when Google took over their market share?

…forgot to add that the buyout would be a blessing for Yahoo. They could really benefit from the financial backing Msft would provide, because to compete with Google how they are now is just impossible.

I can’t remember last time i used a sitemap. Get a few backlinks and SEs should spider you just fine.
