Pilgrim’s Picks for February 13

OK, this is your only reminder that tomorrow is Valentine’s day. If you’ve not bought your loved one a card, a gift, or at least planned something special, you’d better hop to it!
For those of us that are prepared, we can enjoy these picks:
- I’m loving Techmeme’s new RSS and Twitter additions. Their “Firehose Twitter” feed means that I’m updated the moment a new story hits the homepage of Techmeme. Very cool.
- Not sure why we didn’t get to this yesterday, but while Google was picking up Nokia, it was getting dumped by T-Mobile in favor of Yahoo.
- Answers.com cancels its
IPOpublic offering claiming “unfavorable market conditions.” I don’t know, if you have a hot company, does it matter when yourIPOshelf offering is? I guess Answers.com is not so hot. - Matt Cutts has confirmed Google’s Toolbar will hijack certain 404 error pages. Meanwhile, TechCrunch’s poll shows that 75% of its readers are against the practice.

You got the Answers IPO thing wrong. Answers is already public. This was a raise to buy another company.

The only special thing I’ve planned is NOT doing anything. Happy Valentine’s Day baby! You get to avoid feeling sucked in!
I kid, she’s getting flowers, shhh.
Clever editing after Jay’s comment, and here I thought the strikethrough was originally intentional.
