Linky Goodness, March 5

Well, I don’t want anyone to get the shakes today (especially not Andy!), so I’d better get some Linky Goodness going.
I heard your collective sigh of relief. (It was relief, right?)
- Seen any results like this one?

It’s Google’s Site Search Onebox. Check it out for Wikipedia, Amazon, IMDb and more. (Update: Official announcement.) - Check out Five Blogging Rules to Make a Great First Impression by someone who clearly knows what he’s talking about.
- They’re taking over. Now cell phones are harder to give up than land lines. (Well, more people would be willing to give up land lines than cell phones.)
- I missed this last week, but guess what: type-in traffic can be very valuable, since Brand-Driven Traffic Converts Best For Online Retailers. But I’m still gonna say that search is pretty important, even if it might just be to get your brand name out there.
Crisis averted, yes?

Will site search onebox be available for smaller websites at a webmasters request?

Site search is like radiobuttons for site search on other search engines.

Steve - it sounds to me like it won’t, which is kind of a shame. I think it will create an even bigger gap between the major players and small webmasters.

Oh great, another google feature my site will never attain. LOL

This certainly looks like a feature they won’t allow the masses to use. Maybe they’ll set some guidelines for which pages can or can’t have this service.
