Can you believe it’s Friday already? Where did the week go?

I know where last night went. I spent 4 hours battling a spammer/hacker out of Madrid who decided to use a dial-up account to flood my server with multiple requests–bringing it to its knees. Fortunately, I tracked him down and kicked his….anyway, all is well again.

• Google News wants to be a tabloid, judging by the addition of quotes to news pages.
• TechCrunch claims Technorati and blog network b5Media were close to agreeing on a merger, until it all went Pete Tong.
• As rumored, LiveUniverse did indeed acquire Pageflakes. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
• Some good advice on ProBlogger on how to handle negative comments.
• I’m lucky enough (blessed even) to make money from blogging. Louis Gray cautions bloggers to not let that be your main goal in life.
• Microsoft has acquired travel search site Farecast for an estimated $115 million.
