The simplest things work best! Maybe for me SEO is redundant because I do not really think about it that much. The reason could be that I have built a Web portal first before I started blogging.

You have to link to your pages for easy user navigation! Click here does not do justice, so you give your link a relevant title.

Just follow the natural tendencies of internal and external Web property development in relationship to the product that you are trying to market to the end user.

Simply put, KISS! Tell people what you have in a natural human language!

I don't think that many SEO's are using this tactic, but it's extremely effective.

Lately I've been intentionally optimizing for 2 pages from the start (not waiting to rank well for the first before optimizing for the indented one.) I believe this helps to create a diversified linking strategy, even if the indentation never appears.

I can also say from experience that clients love to see a second first page listing.

I wrote a post about this late last year if anyone is interested. My 3 steps are very similar to Andy Beard's: http://www.palmerwebmarketing.com/blog/3-steps-for-getting-an-indented-serp-result/

That saves me having to write about it in my blog marketing series. :-)

The advice Andy provides sounds similar to what I do with MP. Linking one targeted page to another, is pretty much all there is too it.
