I know this is a little bit off topic, but it is about search engine optimization so I figure some of you SEO guys wouldn't mind answering my question: Is there any way I can make my website rank for a term overnight? If yes, can you please link me to the post? I searched all of this website but couldn't find any info. I'll keep checking back every day to this post to see if any of you have answered my question. I am fairly new to all this and was suprised to find that although a relevant URL was useful, it wasn’t the be all and end all of SEO. The title and description tags and good content can do the job for you where keywords are concerned, they don’t necessarily have to be in the URL.

One question if I may. If the content of your homepage is fairly static, can you still get good results by regulary updating other pages in the same domain (maybe a news page for example?)?

I havent thought about this yet. But it seems logical now. I am going to check my projects for this.
