As long as publishers have the option to opt-out, and I'm sure they will, I don't see any problem. But, if they can make money off it, why opt out. Again, I think this is just a case of matching up the right viewer with the right content, and Google does that better then anyone. This just seems like another way for Google to stay even further ahead of the competition.

Video ads have been talked about ever since Google acquired YouTube, even before that.

We all see it coming. Let's see how it is going.

I'm surprised they have not started doing this earlier. Video providers had to solve in-video ad problem themselves and now cut out Google as a 3rd party.

I agree with jhay. As long as I have some type of control of the content, or can change my mind in the future, then Im happy with that.

I'm fine with this. As long as I can opt out or, in the future, have control on which content would appear in those AdSense slots.

With out sounding to cliche' this to me looks like the beginning of the future integration of media and ad sales online. Can you imagine watching one of your favorite prime time shows online with an adsence ad embedded in it?
