    Orkut is huge in India too, and with the population of that country nudging in excess of 1.1 billion, it would seem that they got good penetration in the second most populous country in the world. The internet savvy audience in India is growing daily, truly a developing market!

    Why Orkut is a success is beyond me. True, I’m not much of a fan of social networks but I still use some of them as I find them of certain value. Orkut, though… can’t figure the hang of it and why it’s such a big hit in certain countries.

    I’m not surprised since firefox is such a great browser. I didn’t think Orkut was such a flop, just because it’s not popular in the US. I guess if you compare it to the success google typically sees, it could be considered a total flop.
