I neglect YPN's services a lot and maybe I shouldn't.
Beta has been improved on in at least one aspect.
Before it took up to 24 hours to approve a site, but now it's immediate.
But you still need to manually update your site feeds though.

Sabre's last blog post..More SEO from SEO Chat

Yahoo site explorer is not that famous with me either. I just use it to check my backlinks as it updates frequently and that's the best thing about yahoo siteexplorer.

I also use yahoo site explorer to check for my links and I find it very useful. When i was starting and google wont show any links for me, i tried YSE and I am very happy to see all the blogs and site i have linked with in the list. With the new look and feature, i will surely be more becoming an avid fan of YSE.
