The big news in Raleigh, NC? The daytime high for this weekend is expected to be 84F! Time to grab a scarf!

Here are today’s delectable Picks:

  • The Google search appliance would be brilliant if they had a cheaper version for small businesses too. While its current price isn’t outrageous, I feel that it still is a bit too much for a small company that’s undecided if they need it or not.

Implementation is a tad bit hairy but they do have engineers to assist on-site. I really believe the search appliance should be promoted more aggressively in the small and mid-sized business environment – it’s a pity G still doesn’t have enough sales and support force for it, while spend ing valuable resources for all sort of wacky services or products.

  • It would appear that right now they are focused on the individual user. I do see the day when they will have a lot more on offer for the small and medium scale businesses. This is all for the good.

  • PS3

It’s quite ironic that Google can offer a free music service in China when the majority of the users seem to be blocked from accessing half of t’internet!

  • Fortunately there are a lot of low-cost Linux devices now.
