Frankenstein’s Google’s Android: Beauty or the Beast?

If you’re sacrificing your iPhone fix in favor of waiting for the launch of the first Google Android phone, your wait could soon be over.

The WSJ is reporting rumors that T-Mobile is on track to announce the first Android based phone on September 23–with release by the end of October.

While the phone is targeted at the same sort of technology-savvy consumers who have been buying iPhones, it has a very different look and feel. It is expected to be heavier than the iPhone, according to people familiar with it, and it is likely to have a large touch screen, a swivel-out full keyboard and a BlackBerry-style trackball to help with navigation.

Wow. It’s either going to be a work of art, or look like this:

;-)

UPDATE: Could this be the new phone? Not bad, I suppose.
