Bebo is terrible! My girlfriend is a teacher and her profile was changed from private to public without her approval, allowing all her school kids to see her private photos and information!

I don’t use bebo anymore as a result.

This takes the p!ss. Why would they change your name without warning you. Are users able to change their names after sign up as surely a friendly email telling you to would have been more appropriate?

Another reason why Facebook is better.

That is totally outrageous, surely if they have a problem with user names that would be identified at the point of signing up? Even worse is to make the change without prior warning.

Will be interested to hear the explanation.

That would be most frustrating. I had the same thing happen on a forum I belonged to. One day I couldn't log any longer. I couldn't even contact them because you needed to be logged in to get to the form. Eventually I started a new account, contacted them and found out what they did.
