Exclusive: New Twitter Homepage Revealed?

At the Aloha Summit today, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone revealed the company’s plans to revamp the Twitter homepage to include saved searches and filtering.

Here’s a mock-up of how it might look:

    Saved searches and filtering seems like a great idea, but why on the front page? seems like that would get in the way. I would love it like maybe on another tab though.

    By the looks of this sketch it’s really still being planned out right now so the final result could be completely different than what we see in this diagram. It seems like they’re copying the “Digg Spy” feature but allowing you to filter it on certain categories/keywords. I would love to do that on Twitter!

    The popularity of twitter continues to astound me. Maybe I’ll start seeing more value as the offering gets improved and refined. Change is good.

    Whats up with the hand drawn picture? I thought that companies were just beginning to take twitter seriously… and then they release a possible redesign drawn on loose leaf? Way to look professional.

    You don’t know the background of Twitter, or many other homerun start-ups do you?

    Or the gift of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey?
    Actually, Biz Stone and the terrific Evan Williams,
    are also terrific with seeing, sketching, by hand concepts that should be.

    Go buy “Back of the napkin” and read it.
    Then apply it to design. :)

    Well I’m sure the new design will look great and improved userbility. Twitter is getting extremely popular in such a short period of time.
