I’m guessing that some of those folks have made so much $$, that it’s less about leaving Google because they don’t believe in the future, but more about just wanting to find a different/exciting/intellectually stimulating new company to work with, or project to work on.

You have to stop and wonder how much longer Google can avoid the bubble burst. With layoffs at Yahoo and the downturn in the economy, Google employees might be taking advantage of their employer’s name to land high paying executive jobs elsewhere. Not sure if the grass is always greener though.
