yes the logo is smaller , but maybe they are going to change the logo completely and this was the first step , so we wont get lost

I could see Google presenting a specific image for each resolution out there. But the login info is probably due to some scaling that occurs as you resize your browser. jlbraaten's last blog post..Choosing Content for a Usable Website

Gotta say it just looks like it’s been ‘adjusted’ in Photoshop, it wouldn’t really be hard to do something like that! But who knows, maybe Google are being hit by the Crunch or something, and this is their way of ‘downsizing’…
