		<description>500 text messages a day? Does not sound like your typical teenager. I can&#039;t think of many people who have the time to text 500 times a day. Maybe a week?

It&#039;s been shown that 40% of Tweets on Twitter was pure babble. It was also shown 60% of people sign up and never come back. Another fact is that the median number of tweets is one.

Although it&#039;s grown to the 3rd biggest social networking site it&#039;s unclear how popular it really is.

It&#039;s growth is actually slowing.

I also am not keen on the huge amount of publicity it has received by supposed impartial news networks such as the BBC. I wrote a post on it here: http://newsknot.com/2009/08/twitter-and-the-bbc/
