Even though ICANN operates under the guise of a non-profit organization it seems clear that many of the decisions made contradict a not-for-profit structure. Furthermore, who's to say that it won't be easier to influence ICANN's management now that it won't be under as much scrutiny. I think it is very likely that we will see the .xxx TLD.
