Clearly some level-headed people at Newscorp have been slowly and carefully explaining the value of search engine traffic to Murdoch, hence the backpedaling. Any experienced publisher knows that search engine traffic is the most valuable traffic.

I won&#039;t change my habit, but apparently I&#039;ll eventually (if they really go through with this) stop promoting Rupert Murdoch&#039;s news empire because he won&#039;t allow me to find links to his stories.

And I have absolutely no interest in paying him for his news content.
