[...] Why a Deal With News Corp Would Make Bing the Trader Joe’s of Search OK, so let’s say this deal comes together–which I really doubt–but let’s say it does. What will happen? I, and many others, will know that in order to read an article on the Wall Street Journal, we have to go to Bing.com and not Google.
I completely agree. In fact, I would go so far as to say that I would be less likely to ever view that WSJ article over in Bing’s search silo because it’s too inconvenient for me to switch searching behavior. So let News Corp and other publishers take their toys and go to another playground. I will be happy to have fewer news articles competing for the coveted first page of Google search results.
