I wonder if this transparancy will go for Ranking factors as well or whether it’s just a gimmick to deprive other browers of users even tho it’s in complete opposition to googles basic business model

All the more reason for marketers to be more in tune with social advertising. Working from a subscription model of messaging where consumers opt-in to your messaging because they find it valuable will become more important as consumers become more savy with the new tools.
