I think Craig knew he was ultimately going to get caught so he put that time to 'good use'. Sherlock Holmes 2 indeed. 40000 is a scary number but isn't what we watch even scarier? There are too many movies and series glorifying super smart bad guys and depicting the law as a bumbling buffoon. A diet of that growing up is enough to make anyone cheer an escaped convict, the 'presumed' hero. Confession: I cheered for Michael Scofield. Not likely. Pretty hefty price tag for his time in the spotlight, huh? Also, leaves something to be desired that that many people were interested in a guy who was on the run from the law and were being entertained by it.
