Super Bowl Ads 2010 Face-Off: Google vs KGB

8

There were lots of entertaining Super Bowl ads this year, but as an internet marketer, two interested me the most: Google’s first ever TV ad, and the new upstart, KGB.

Forget the fact that Google–the ambassador for new, measurable ads–ran an old-school TV ad, which do you think was the best of the two?

The second one (Google) was better, but the first one was nice too – clean, fresh and funny.

I really enjoyed the Google ad. For doing so little on TV, it was really interesting to see how they marketed to an untargeted audience. I think it was one of the better adverts from last night.

I guess I can’t decide. They are so different. It’s like asking which movie is better: The Hangover or Seven Pounds.
I think it depends what mood you’re in. I’d have to say, ultimately, that they are of the same caliber in their own genre.
