Twitter Fail Whale Beached?

Was on Twitter earlier and it went goofy on me. Rather than the infamous fail whale though I got this

Has the fail whale been beached?

UPDATE: Maybe this is why Twitter doesn’t think that third party clients are a good thing anymore. I spend SO little time on Twitter.com that I had never seen this message. Our reader, Roger Dooley, pointed out my error about Twitter’s error. And I thought we needed to call Greenpeace…….

    The “fail bot” has been around for a while, and is used for specific errors vs mere traffic overloads. Equally frustrating, though. :)

      Thanks Roger but I have never seen it before and since I have become SO familiar with the Fail Whale I was concerned for his safety. Good to know he still exists……I guess.
