Google may well get the last laugh in the deals space. While Groupon gropes its way to its IPO of unknown valuation and wrestles with questions of ethics and intelligence levels, Google has introduced its Offers update that aggregates deals from various sources.

Now the pressure to populate Offers through its own efforts is off of Google AND users get a wider variety of options when they have the need to save. Here is Google’s video explanation from their blog.

    Its funny when the big “G” gets a little pressure from social media that they feel that they “Have” to diversify into other markets. As if they arn’t making enough on their out dated PPC as their revenue raiser. What are your thoughts?

    Google has really been everywhere recently so it does not surprise me that they would come out with a platform that is like Living Social and Groupon.
