LinkedIn is the place to go to get a new job, right?

Well, that is not likely to change but what is changing is what else LinkedIn is allowing its users to do, mainly to show off their expertise with their content. Whether it’s sharing others’ content or finding a way to get yourself in front of other experts LinkedIn is the place for professionals to play. Watch the SlideShare presentation to help determine what this might mean to you.

  • Those are helpful slides! Thanks for sharing.

  • Actually, LinkedIn just prettied up the user interface. There’s actually less content to choose from now. They used to have several hundred news sources to choose from like CNET, CNBC, New York Times, mashable…that’s all gone. LInkedIn may still choose content from these places for you…then again, they may not. Instead of choosing content from industries, you will choose it from “channels” which are broad topics such as “leadership” and “your career”. Plus the 200 or so “influencers”. Maybe good for the casual LinkedIn user, certainly not for someone looking for a broad spectrum of content to share with his or her network,
