Being huge Duck Dynasty fans, we lept into action. First, Frank shot the Duck Dynasty team an email letting them know that they should jump on it, before someone else registers it…and does who knows what with it. Concerned that they may not see the email under the deluge of fan mail they receive, I pulled up GoDaddy and registered the domains.
You see, Frank and I are both huge fans of the show and we know that this bearded band of Christian brothers believe in doing the right thing…even if sometimes in a circuitous way. So, rather than buy it and squat on it, we registered it and as soon as we hear back from them, we’ll take the steps to transfer it to them.
Now, the lesson for the rest of us is to make sure we don’t miss out on a similar opportunity. While registering every single domain name under the sun is not always an option–though it can be beneficial for reputation purposes–grabbing one that resonates with your business should be a no-brainer.
So, on that note, if you’re based in Los Angeles or Louisiana, then you may went to grab your domain now.
As for Frank and I, we’ll turn this over to the Duck Dynasty guys. Maybe they’ll send us a signed photo or duck call, but we’ll be rewarded just to hear that they are “happy, happy, happy” that we helped them out.
And that’s a fact, jack!
