It is primarily used to share images, 80% of Pinterest users are female, and the most popular age group on Pinterest is between the ages of 25 and 34. This is a great tool for marketing your business, though, because people who are referred to products on Pinterest spend 70% more money than visitors referred from other channels. This makes Pinterest a great place to market your products and services. If you are going to use this network, though, to build up your brand, here are a few things to keep in mind.

Take a Look At What’s Popular

You can look at the most popular pins, which should give you an idea for the kind of things users want to see on Pinterest. How can you contribute to what is current? Do you have some interesting images to add that relate to your business? Do you have any pins that relate to the pins that are trending? Use what is popular to brainstorm and come up with your own ideas.

Interact with Others

Don’t just post your own pins and be done with it. Follow other boards, re-pin interesting pins, and write your own comments on re-pins. Don’t simply use Pinterest to promote your business.
