Zunch Communications Files for Bankruptcy

SEL reports that Zunch Communications has filed for bankruptcy, owing more than $750,000 in debts, including $200k+ to JupiterMedia.

The company hasn’t been the same since most of its executive staff departed to start a new venture.

SEL outlines almost 10 years of acquisitions in the SEM space, and starts a new chapter of those that bit the dust – starting with Zunch (maybe they should add WebSourced).

Zunch Management Leave to Start Kinetic Results

Kevin Newcomb jumps on the news that pretty much all the Zunch management have left the company to start Kinetic Results.

Why did they leave?

Kinetic Results gives the official reason for the exodus as “significant philosophical differences.” Zunch’s CEO says the departures came as part of a streamlining of the business following recent growth.

They stole my reason!!! ;-)

Andy Beal, former VP of marketing at WebSourced, packed his bags in July to launch Fortune Interactive late last month.

In other parallels, Beal also cited philosophical differences with his former employer, and the need for more flexible search firms. Fortune Interactive plans to explore several niches within search, including the use of blogs and RSS as marketing channels. Fortune will also focus on providing premium customer service.

Just been sent news that Zunch COO, Johnny Thompson, has left the company and resurrected popdensity.com, a full service interactive agency.

WebSourced’s Chadd Lomoglio Joins Zunch

Congratulations to my good friend, and co-worker for 5 years, Chadd Lomoglio, as he departs MarketSmart/WebSourced/KeywordRanking/Worldmall (etc etc) and joins Zunch as executive vice president.

Chadd’s sales management expertise will certainly serve the company very well and I’m confident that Chadd will make a big impact.
